Mirror Cleaning
The bathroom mirror ends up with all sorts of splatter stains: toothpaste, shaving cream, hair products, even plain old water. Homeowners can remove these annoying stains with a mixture that is equal parts ammonia, dish soap, and rubbing alcohol. Simply spray the mirror and wipe it down with a microfiber towel.

Shower Door Tracks
While newer homes have shower doors that swing open and shut, many older shower doors slide instead. The sliding tracks tend to get quite gross, covered in mold and mildew. Make a solution that is equal parts baking soda and vinegar. Use a toothbrush along side the solution to remove touch stains. To get into the truly fine crevice use the screwdriver trick from part one, or a butter knife.

Shower Curtain
Shower curtains get quite disgusting, especially the clear liners that go inside the shower while the water is running. To get rid of any stains or build up, put the curtain in the washer with a little less laundry detergent than usual. Add about a cup of cleaning vinegar. Once the curtain is out of the machine, it will look almost as good as new.

Don’t Neglect The Vent
The air vent in the bathroom does an insane amount of work, so homeowners need to ensure that it is as clean as possible. This task requires a two-man team, so find a friend or family member. One person needs to take the vacuum cleaner and add the brush t the extension. Vacuum the vent with this extension. The other person is there to lift the vacuum and make life easier.

The Worst Part Of The Job
If anybody lives with a man who has particularly bad aim, or children who sometimes don’t make it to the toilet, cleaning up urine can be the bane of existence. However, it is a necessary job to avoid the smell from becoming overpowering. Make a paste with equal parts baking soda, lemon juice, and cleaning vinegar. Spread the paste over the affected area and allow it to sit for an hour or so. Then, simply wipe the area down with a clean, dry cloth. No more smell, and no more stain!

RememberTo Breathe
A lot of bathroom cleaners, even DIY ones, can produce some pretty heavy fumes as they work. Don’t forget to prop open the available doors and windows to let the fumes out. Fume buildups can lead to lightheadedness, nausea, and even vomiting. If you experience any of these symptoms, take a cleaning break!
