Everyone hates cleaning the bathroom – it is notoriously difficult to clean and considered one of the dirtiest rooms in the house. Homeowners tend to procrastinate this difficult chore, putting it off until a deep clean is required. Today, we have scoured the Internet to gather bathroom cleaning hacks.

  1. Make A Checklist:

Trying to clean a room that requires as much attention as the bathroom seems overwhelming at first blush. Establish a checklist to make everything less overwhelming. This is especially important if the responsibilities are shared between multiple people. A checklist ensures that nobody wastes time cleaning something that is already finished.

  1. Cleaning The Floor:

Pros say to always clean the floor last. Any fallout that comes from cleaning everything else ruins the effort to clean the floor if it is cleaned too early. Start by vacuuming or sweeping, then clean the grout, before finally mopping the floor.

  1. The Best DIY Bathtub Cleaner

A cleaner that cuts through soap scum and eliminates rings in the bathtub but doesn’t break the bank? Yes please! Just make a solution that is one-part dish soap to one-part white vinegar, and voila. To make life even easier, pour the solution into one of the dish brushes that holds sop inside of it. The brush and solution make it super easy to scrub the bathtub and shower.

  1. Grout Cleaner

In an already annoying room, grout is especially irritating to clean. It is a small component of the bathroom, but if it’s dirty it makes all the difference. The good news is that there is an easy-to-make cleaner for grout. Start with baking soda and add in just enough bleach to make it a paste. Spread the cleaner on the dirty grout and let sit for eight hours. This is a long time to wait, but it works! Remove the mixture with an old worn and toothbrush to reveal grout that looks as good as new.

  1. Use A Screwdriver To Clean

Wrap a disinfecting wipe around a screwdriver and use it to clean thin or hard to reach places. Behind the toilet handle, along the hand rails or towel racks in the shower, or under sink handles, this hack works everywhere.

  1. Alka Seltzer Is Your Friend

Alka Seltzer is great for eliminating clogged drains. Drop or crumble two tabs of Alka Seltzer down the drain. Follow it up with a cup of vinegar, and let the two interact for a few minutes in the pipes. Finally, run the hot water for a couple of minutes, and the drain should function properly once again.

  1. How To Get Shiny Faucets

Homeowners want to imagine that the faucets in their house and sparkling like a cartoon tooth. However, reality may be much different, even if the faucets are clean. After cleaning the surfaces, simply use a dab or two of baby oil to really make those attachments shine. This hack is especially useful for homeowners who rent their house out.
